Why Do We Walk?


1 in 4 women, 1 in 9 men, and 1 in 15 children experience or are exposed to domestic violence in their life.

81% of women & 35% of men who have experienced stalking, rape, and physical violence suffered from long-term physical injuries and/or post-traumatic stress disorder.

About 1 in 12 high school students experienced physical dating violence.


1 out of every 5 (20.2%) students report being bullied.

Bullied students indicate that bullying has a negative effect on how they feel about themselves (27%), their relationships with friends and family (19%), their school work (19%), and physical health (14%). 

The percentages of individuals who have experienced cyberbullying at some point in their lifetimes have more than doubled (18% to 37%) from 2007-2019.


In 2022, it's estimated about 30% of newly diagnosed cancers in women will be breast cancer.

In women under 45, breast cancer is more common in Black women than white women. Overall, Black women are more likely to die of breast cancer.
